From 14 to 16 July, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, were hosts of luxury yachting, with Rendez-V Marine, a celebration that V-Marine, official dealers for Azimut Yachts, organises every year in honour of the shipyard, a symbol of Italian quality.

A celebration they have organised 16 times, all of which have been a success. But this latest has certainly superseded all expectations for both the organisers and the guests taking part.

AN AZIMUT FLEET

It all began on Friday 14 July with the arrival of the first guests, by sea and by land. The event began at the Lusben shipyard in Viareggio, at the Yachtique and sea lounge curated by American Express, while, at the end of the day, the nearby pier filled with a number of private Azimut yachts, gathering for the event.

A few examples: Atlantis, Flybridge, the new S7, the crossover Magellano and even a majestic Benetti Oasis 34M, delivered to its new owner during Rendez-V Marine.

SIXTIES STYLE CELEBRATION

Their owners were welcomed, together with other guests, to the large pier, decorated for the event with long tables, ready for a meal and a show. A show brought to life by Huma Show, a company specialised in organising events, known for their elegance and quality.

The celebratory mood was that of the Sixties: a clear reference to the Magellano 60, the latest gem by Azimut yachts revealed exclusively to the V Marine guests during a “yacht show”, accompanied by the notes of a saxophone floating over the water. A magical and surreal atmosphere. A weekend which, alongside many surprises, unveiled the new line of Pirelli Speedboats tenders.

The next morning, everyone was ready for a day full of activities, special offers from exclusive partners who have been supporting V Marine and their initiatives for years.  One of the most popular was certainly the guided tour of the Azimut Yachts facilities, learning about the manufacturing process of one of the most important shipyards in the world.

Guests were also able to have a glimpse of the future through the Seadeck Experience, a virtual voyage on board the Fun Island from the new Azimut Yachts series, an innovative and holistic concept developed in partnership with Alberto Mancini, Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez.

PIRELLI – V MARINE PARTNERS

From yachts to ribs, with the Pirelli Speedboats brand, naturally. All on board for a breathtaking sea trial and then back to the pier for an electronics checkup with Raymarine. Awaiting the guests at the pier were the professionals from  Mercury MarineHP Watermakers and Garmin, who suggested a ride alongside world champion Alessandro Ballan, to discover the beauty of Versilia.

Volvo Penta made available to owners and captains their experts, illustrating the on board functions and deep diving into discussions about Volvo Penta propulsion systems and accessories.

LUXURY AUTOMOBILES AND MOTORBIKES

Car lovers were able to climb into the magnificent Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge and Cullinan, ready for an exciting test drive. Those who love motorbikes, hopped onto the seats of the Trident 600 and Speed Twin 900 by Triumph, to race alongside the water. Some could also admire a Triumph Rocket 3R, an incredible custom unit by Marco Utili, collector and owner of Biauto Group.

V MARINE PARTNERS – TO WEAR

As is traditional for this event, luxury “to wear” was also included, first with the marvellous creations of Damiani, traditional partner of V Marine, who set up an exhibition of jewellery in front of the water. Emerging brand Norqain also participated; part of the Küffer family chosen by Rocca 1794 and part of the Damiani Group – their Swiss-made watches with their singular design were much appreciated – especially as four-time world champion Filippo Magnini endorses their products.

Many beautiful and precious items to appreciate: the fantastic “green” creations by Gruppo Giardini, the elegance of Pineider products, and the singular books of the D’Oro Collection. And those who chose to have a walk between Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta, were welcomed in the Louis Vuitton boutique, Massimo Sermoneta Luxury Living, Slam and Acqua dell’Elba for an exclusive “V Marine guests only” experience.

BRUNCH AT THE FORT

At midday everyone went to Maitò Beach, the refined beach club in Forte dei Marmi, and second location for the event, for a sumptuous and delicious brunch on the beach. Followed by a refreshing dip in the pool to try the Seabob, the new submersible water scooters by Cayago Luxury Seatoys.

The extreme heat did not discourage the more sporty guests who worked together with the professional trainers from Technogym. Shortly after there was a foosball challenge: using the very first crystal tabletop football created by Teckell, which measured up well.  On the beach, a selection of innovative WaveShark boards was ready for a test run among the waves.

A BLACK AND WHITE DINNER

The intense yet well organised day went by far too quickly. At sunset, after a quick change of clothing into a Casual Chic Black & White outfit, guests were once again at Maitò for a poolside aperitif. The dinner for 270 people took place on the beach at the water’s edge.

Everything went perfectly down to the last detail, until the arrival of Bob Sinclair and Albertino DJ, a surprise that V marine had not revealed to their guests, and which excited all those present, turning the evening into a beach party.

An extraordinary event, and a generous and powerful homage to yachting. An exclusive and quality event that surprises every year, so much so that it has become a “must attend” event over the summer. V Marine and their team of professionals have truly raised the bar on this 16th celebration.
