Walanka is a “master of the seas”, launched in 1963 it is now docked at the pier of the shipyard, W. Service, in the port of Savona, where it can be visited by appointment only. The vessel is up for sale through the S&P Broker Edmiston from Monaco in Central Agency. Built in 1963 by Hall Russel, the Walanka motor yacht is a beautiful example of classical design, with a round stern in excellent condition. Splendidly restored, Walanka has undergone a number of improvements and maintenance. A general refit in 2013-2014 and modernisation in the following years, in particular to the plates and navigational instruments in 2019. These are just a few examples of the investments made over the last few years.
The yacht, with a f.t length of 36.6 metres, is a symbol of the perfect fusion of modern technology with everlasting elegance and class. Propulsion is through two Kelvin engines (TS8 RG32) of 320 CV each, with screws, allowing the Walanka to reach a maximum speed of 11 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 9/10 knots. With its 24,000 litres of fuel, it has an autonomy of 4,200 nautical miles going at 10 knots. The capacity of the fresh water tanks is approximately 8,000 litres.
In addition to the hull design, the elegance of this vessel can be found in the luxurious interior spaces, both in the common areas and private ones, redesigned by Loro Piana Interiors (architect Misa Poggi), reflecting the charm of this yacht. The living room is the main common area, where light wooden wainscotting and large windows contribute to increasing the light. To the stern of the living room, through two doors, is the main deck, where there is an open-air dining area.
On the outer deck the large spaces are comparable to large scale modern yachts. The width of the solarium is perfect for socialisation, with a relaxation area and a dining area. Five luxurious cabins with private bathrooms – including a master, two doubles, and two twin-sets with an additional bed each – can welcome up to 12 guests. Lastly, the crew area can house up to 7 people.
The elegant lines and refined interiors, as well as the careful maintenance of the vessel, make Walanka a classical yacht full of glamour, ready for its new owner. The yacht is also equipped with a number of toys including a tender and two jet skis. The beam is 7 metres and the maximum draught is 2.20 metres with a tonnage of 210 tonnes.
