Looking like a superstar, super performance and superyacht features, the WiLder 60 by the Wider shipyard, embodies the elite boating lifestyle, offering an escape from monotony and opening the doors to fun. Every detail of this full custom 18.9 metre model, made entirely in aluminium, has been carefully studied – from the perfectly designed hull developed by the Wider Engineering Team, guaranteeing excellent watertightness, comfort, stability and the complete absence of sound and vibration, through to the large exterior and fully personalised interior.

Wider have tried to enclose, in a 60-footer everything that a model of this size should offer its owners, with enviable results. “The WiLder 60 – explains Marcello Maggi, president of W-Fin Sarl – was created to capture the imagination of adventurous clients, who love fun, excitement, and know exactly what they want. From its performance, around 40 knots, to its perfect manoeuvrability, superlative finishings and custom build approach, there is nothing like the WiLder 60.”

EXTERIOR

Modern and sculptural elements like the angular superstructure combine with the reversed bow and inverse sheerline to create a breathtaking design, to which are added the refined details – including the tiniest elements: from the air intake in the engine room to the wide and low stern, exterior cushion, with a carefully designed partition to emphasise the dynamic shape of the boat.

The exterior spaces, bold and distinctive, include a dining area and the large sunlounge to the bow and open air dining area and another sunlounge to the stern. Between the two decks is the partially enclosed wheelhouse, the perfect place to enjoy the incredible performance of the WiLder 60. Two MAN V8 1300HP engines are connected to surface transmission, allowing the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 40 knots, and a cruising speed of 35, with an autonomy of 240 nautical miles. In addition, the forward and aft thrusters, a dynamic positioning system and two optional Quick MC2 X19 stabilisers make the vessel extremely manoeuvrable.

INTERIORS

Even the interior is spacious and, thanks to the contribution of the Wider Style Centre, it can be configured and finished according to the owner’s preference, making each WiLder 60 unique. And it is this extraordinary attention to detail, both in custom design and unrivalled quality of the finishings, that elevates this vessel to superyacht status. This first vessel demonstrates the skill of the Wider team to exceed the expectations of even the most demanding clients.

The layout includes the owner’s cabin to the bow with a large private bathroom, two additional guest cabins to the stern, a saloon with designer kitchen and another bathroom that can be used as a day head. WiLder’s philosophy is that adaptability is key, which means that the configuration options can satisfy the operative desires of each owner: the aft cabin to the left, for example, can be converted into crew quarters.

In regard to finishings, the Knightrider inspiration continues below deck, where the materials and details are reminiscent of luxury cars, Illumination plays a crucial role, with direct and indirect lighting creating a welcoming and calming atmosphere, complete with polished lacquer and brushed bronze inserts.

The durmast parquet floor adds warmth to the space, including bathrooms, which have a Krion Coffee Cream worktop in contrast with the lacquered bulkheads and grey crystal sinks and black Gessi taps contributing to emphasise the strong personality of the interior. The forward bulkhead of the saloon is hand painted with a special technique creating a scratchy textured surface, adding depth to the area, while the leather and marble are both distinctive and complimentary to the overall design.

The interior – notes Michele Lubrano Lobianco, head of the Wider Style Centre – highlight one of the biggest surprises of the WiLder 60, that high performing yachts with a refined style can have spacious and luxurious interiors. This is the essence of the WiLder concept” custom interiors built following the highest standards combining the flair of Italian design with artisan mastery. ‘Living WiLder’ means no limits. With the Wilder 60 there are no compromises.”

WILDER 60: THE YACHT OF THE FUTURE

The presentation of the first WiLder 60 represents a milestone not just for Wider and its new WiLder brand, but also for the entire market of 60-foot vessels. While the full custom units take shape, this first hull demonstrates yet again that the forward-looking heart of this shipyard is their desire to bring innovative thinking to the boating industry, always on the lookout for new and exciting directions to take.

“It is everything we had imagined and much more. The WiLder 60 – concludes Fabio Fraternale, CEO for Wider – shows that high performance vessels can be luxurious, that 60-footers can be built following a superyacht ethos and that anything a client can imagine can be turned into reality. Above all, this demonstrates how our vision for this model was a winner: created to be outside the box, for WiLder clients.”
