Cantieri Navali di Sestri is a shipyard which has been established since the mid-50s, mainly for the demolition and maintenance of barges and towboats, and began focussing on pleasure boating around the end of the 80s.

The premises occupies a surface area of 22,000 m², of which 13,800 in water area and 8,200 including warehouses, garages, storage areas and open spaces. In addition, the logistics activities of the shipyard are in continual evolution, as demonstrated by the office building, the key and service centre, which houses rooms, a gym and meeting rooms (with internet connection), while outside there are tables, a barbecue and a solarium with lounge chairs: all areas dedicated to both employees and crew members.

Part of the building’s roof is covered in solar panels, capable of supporting a good part of the energy needs of the entire complex and to supply around 250 vessels a year, from the smallest through to large 40m yachts.

The dockyard, instead, has 150 spaces available for boats up to 45 metres in length, supplied with stations for water and electricity distributed throughout the floating piers and a quay.

The shipyard focuses on the excellence of its service which perfects the artisan traditions with modern technology. From joinery to carpentry, welding steel and aluminium and working with fibreglass, Cantieri Navali di Sestri are able to satisfy any client needs, also thanks to the skill and professionalism of the specialists working there. Mechanics, artisans, electricians, cabinet makers, electronics experts work together in harmony and with the same care and passion on all projects, from the most basic to the most complex, using the best products available on the international market, and external skilled work if needed.

Among the high quality services offered are:

  • refitting (exterior and interior);
  • mechanics;
  • metalwork (steel and aluminium);
  • carpentry (interior, plating and decks);
  • filling, painting, resin (spray systems for paint and resin using certified systems);
  • antifouling and waterproofing (authorised waterproofing centre for West System, offering a 10 year guarantee on the results);
  • installation/repair/maintenance of electric systems;
  • repair/maintenance of electronic systems.

The quality and safety policy used by the company provides for setting aside 50% of profits for maintenance and technological updates, so as to substitute all vehicles, trailers, forklifts and cranes every 5 years and thereby maintain maximum efficiency. The equipment used by the shipyard is as follows:

  • self-propelled trailers (one for 40 tonnes, the other modular from 200 to 300 tonnes);
  • cranes for 100 tonnes;
  • slipway for 300 tonnes;
  • a Haulotte H28 TJ+ self-propelled platform (maximum working height 28 metres, load of  230/350 kg);
  • a Terex Genie GS2646 pantograph platform (maximum working height 9.92 metres, load of  454 kg).
