The first FAST50 by Baglietto, a fast light alloy displacement hull, has been sold only a few short months after its presentation. “We are very pleased with this sale – says Fabio Ermetto, CCO for Baglietto – it is tangible proof of the value of this design that perfectly combines performance with timeless elegance, elements that have always characterised our shipyard.”
FAST50, A NEW ICON FOR BAGLIETTO
Designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design who also curated the interiors in partnership with Margherita Casprini, the FAST50 has that streamlined look characteristic of Baglietto’s iconic vessels, like Pachamama, Monokini, winner of the Golden Compass in 2016, and RUSH, winner of the WSA last year.
It has an unmistakeable family feeling, to which are added the latest changes introduced with the T52, like the two-level stern, with collapsible gunwale to create a platform to make getting into the water easier, and a hideaway transformer replacing the gangplank, to keep the hull looking clean and streamlined.
The interior and exterior spaces of the three decks flow together thanks to full height windows that open on three sides on the upper and main decks, and to the cut gunwales. In addition, moving the air ducts to the outside of the hull, has further expanded the available space in the main saloon, with a conversation area and TV, while the dining area is in the sky lounge on the upper deck.
INSPIRED BY THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
The vessel’s style is inspired by the automotive industry: from the design of the previously mentioned air ducts to the two fairleads to the stern, reminiscent of sports car exhaust pipes.
The owner’s cabin is wide body, with its silk screened windows that flow with the yacht’s design. The two VIP cabins and twins are on the lower deck, which is also the location of the crew quarters, with a dinette, captain’s cabin and 4 crew cabins with pullman beds. The garage, with its flood launch system, behind the engine room, can store a tender of up to 7 metres.
The FAST50 Baglietto has 4 MTU 2000M93L engines for a maximum speed of 30 knots. The low draught semi tunnel allows for sailing in shallow waters.
