The latest product from Lagoon, the 60-foot catamaran, Lagoon 60, has just won the prestigious Design Innovation Award for the multihull category. This innovative multihull was described by the jury as a catamaran with character, and a fluid layout that transmits calmness and security. The official awards ceremony took place during the Genoa Boat Show in Palazzo della Borsa.
This sought-after award, established by I Saloni Nautici and Confindustria Nautica in 2020, aims to celebrate excellence, research, innovation and sustainability in the boating industry.
The Design Innovation Awards represents, for NSS Yachting, the main European dealer for the Lagoon shipyard, a truly important achievement. “We are truly satisfied – said Simone Morelli, president of NSS Yachting to Daily Nautica – that the Lagoon 60 has received this award as top cruising catamaran. This model, with collapsible gunwales, presented in March in Bordeaux, marks the beginning of a new era for catamarans created for those who want to enjoy the ocean without renouncing style and comfort, in harmony with the environment.”
NSS Yachting – The company
NSS Yachting is a dealer for both Lagoon catamarans and Beneteau single hulls, sailing and motor, and is also an Italian importer of Highfield dinghies. Since 2019, for four consecutive years, they have also won the Lagoon award for “Best European Dealer”.
“The shipyard’s growth and the increasingly harmonious aesthetic of the catamarans – notes the president of NSS Yachting – results from the continuous dialogue between the yards, the dealers and the owners. For this reason Lagoon has been able to stand out, becoming a leading player in the cruising multi-hull sector with over 7000 units sold around the world. Lagoon is successful in one thing other competitors aren’t – anticipating and satisfying the needs of their clients.”
