Dates for the 2022 Genoa Boat Show have been announced. The general assembly of Confindustria Nautica has announced that the 62nd edition of the Genoa International Boat Show will take place between 22 and 27 September 2022.
Since 1962 the Genoa Boat Show has been bringing together exhibitors, industry professionals and hobbyists, consolidating itself yet again this year as a “fixed point for the boating industry”, as claimed in the last iteration of the event; this came after the 2020 edition being the only industry event organised safely in Europe.
The balance of the 2021 Boat Show was more than positive: the 61st edition recorded 93,782 visitors, an increase of 30% compared to the previous year, and 992 brands exhibiting. And only a few weeks after closing, the dates for the next Genoa Boat Show have been announced.
“As Confindustria Nautica – explains Saverio Cecchi, chairman for Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici – we strongly believe in the value of the Boat Show and are proud of the strength and continuity of our event. The 61st Boat Show was an iteration which capitalised on the great work done by the association over the last few years and showed our strength and resilience by widely surpassing expectations, positioning itself as the most important industry event, following safety protocols, in Italy and Europe.”
NEXT APPOINTMENTS: METS AND THE ASSEMBLY
Confindustria Nautica’s calender of events and initiatives to support industry companies continues with their participation in the Metstrade in Amsterdam, the international show dedicated to components and accessories for pleasure boating, from 16 to 18 November.
For the occasion, Confindustria Nautica has organised the collective participation of 83 Italian businesses, in partnership with ICE Agenzia, to support the development of business activities and networking for our companies in the international market.
At the Mets, Confindustria Nautica will also be the sponsor for the Boat Builder Awards, connecting its name with one of the competition categories yet again – the Environmental Initiative Award. Sustainability, characterised by innovation and the development of new technology, a key challenge for the future and for the growth of international pleasure boating, is a priority for the association.
Lastly, closing 2021’s activities, on Thursday 16 December, in Rome, at the Ara Pacis auditorium, the general assembly of Confindustria Nautica members will take place. Pleasure boating entrepreneurs will come together for a day of work, discussion and updates on the industry, with the report of the association’s yearly activities.
