The performance of a super car and the finish of a superyacht. This is the new WiLder 60 by Wider Yachts, which debuted during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, to great acclaim. This 18.90 metre motoryacht stands out for its exceptional performance, thanks to its simple, well-studied shape, along with unrivalled comfort for its category. The name “WiLder” was chosen to symbolise the wild and fun side of pleasure boating.
Each aspect of this model, built in aluminium, was studied in the tiniest detail: from the hull, designed and developed by the Wider Engineering Team, to the large exterior and fully personalised interior. During the Cannes Boat Show, the Daily Nautica team went on board the WiLder 60, where we interviewed Marcello Maggi, owner of Wider Yachts.
ON BOARD THE WILDER 60
“The WiLder 60 – explains Marcello Maggi to DN – is built using only aluminium and provides breathtaking performance. The motoryacht can also be personalised to the owner’s needs, while maintaining its elegant and simple design.”
Although its profile might appear low, the WiLder 60 has plenty of outside space, with an audacious and distinctive feel. To the stern, the large sun lounge and open-air dining area create the perfect environment for hosting a party with friends. The details and refinement of this model extend into the smallest detail: the outdoor cushions have been created so that they emphasise the dynamic shape of the yacht.
HIGH SPEED PERFORMANCE
“While sailing – says Marcello Maggi – you can feel all the qualities of this boat. Its aluminium structure absorbs all vibration and as a consequence there is practically no noise. Its simple and elegant profile, give this vessel an unrivalled dynamic.”
To starboard is the wheelhouse where the owner can fully enjoy the yacht’s performance. The two MAN V8 1300HP engines allow the vessel to reach a maximum speed of 40 knots. Cruising speed is around 35 knots with an autonomy of 240 thousand nautical miles. In addition, the forward and aft thrusters, a dynamic positioning system and two optional Quick MC2 X19 stabilisers make the WiLder 60 extremely manoeuvrable.
SUPERYACHT FINISH
The layout below decks includes a spacious owner’s cabin to the bow with a large private bathroom, two guest cabins to the stern, a dinette at midships with designer kitchen and another bathroom. WiLder’s philosophy is that adaptability is key, which means that the configuration options can satisfy the desires of each owner: the aft cabin, for example, can be converted into crew quarters.
