A hot sun and blue sky accompanied the opening day of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, which will close on 15 September. The Daily Nautica team had to take part, of course, to keep you all updated on the latest at the event.

Sun, sea and lots of energy: let the Cannes Yachting Festival begin!

A long red carpet welcomes visitors to the entrance and accompanies them around the entire show, as they enjoy the latest in boating. The atmosphere is alive, accents from all over the world can be heard along the length of the 5 kilometres of piers, filled with beauty, innovation and sustainability.  This French event is certainly one of the most anticipated, both because it opens Boat Show season, and because it is filled with glamour; it pervades the air along the Croisette and while walking amongst the vessels in the Vieux Port and Port Canto.

Large Riviera-style straw hats, bright or muted tailored linen clothes: this is also a part of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, style and accessories that frame the curved lines of the boats and the latest technology.

A few statistics

The ribbon cutting ceremony fo rthe 46th iteration of the Cannes Yachting Festival took place on Tuesday, 10 September, but opening the dance for the event, in the afternoon, was the exclusive press conference held by one of the most famous Italian shipyards, Sanlorenzo, which took place on board the 50Steel Almax, a combination of innovation and sustainability.

Ferretti, Beneteau, Nautor Swan and Azimut are just a few of the big names among the 640 exhibitors (154 of which are Italian) who talked with journalists and workers on the first day of the event. There are 700 vessels on display in this luxurious French city, including 120 world premieres.
