Baglietto, specialised in building planing vessels in aluminium and displacement and semi-displacement megayachts in steel and aluminium from 35 to 65 metres, have launched “Akula”, the third model of the T52. The ceremony took place in the presence of the shipyard’s staff, while waiting for official delivery to its owner, when the summer season begins.

With its eye-catching dark grey colour giving it a powerful and aggressive air, the yacht’s exterior was curated by Francesco Paszkowski Design, while the interior was by  Team for Design Enrico Gobbi. Construction was followed by The Italian Sea Group representing the owner and by Fabrizio Loi from Inter Yachting LLC as surveyor.

This unit, like her recently launched sister ship, has a number of innovations compared to traditional yachts, while maintaining the successful key features of the range, like the open stern with beach club on three levels and the sky lounge on the upper deck which can be opened on three sides using the full height sliding windows. Of note is also the aft area, where the garage has been replaced by a comfortable gym, moving the two jet skis and the 5.5 metre tender to the bow.

We are stepping into the high season for deliveries – notes Fabio Ermetto, CCO for Baglietto – and this year we are launching four T52s and two yachts from the Dom133 range. Each yacht, while still part of a series, is a singular and personalised piece, resulting from working together with the owner until it is completed and launched.
