The launch of the “Atali” shows how the WiderCat 92 offers owners ample customisation options

The Wider Vision Hub in Fano has seen the launch of the second unit of the new 28-metre multi-hull series, the WiderCat 92. Like the first unit, launched in January, the “Atali” also has the innovative hybrid propulsion system for the series, and exterior and interior design by the Wider Style Centre and Luca Dini Design & Architecture.

Differently from the first unit, however, are the customisations made to satisfy the specific needs of its expert owner, to which has been added the personal touch of his wife, who actively participated in the selection of the interiors and decor. The design was also supervised by the captain, who was charged by the client to carefully monitor each phase of construction.

THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF ATALI

On the command deck of the Atali is a sun lounge to the bow, and a lounge area with a hi-lo table in front of the wheelhouse, while the open aft deck has a dining table which also includes an integrated Teppanyaki style grill so the family can cook together.

For the interiors, the owners have chosen light colours with natural materials, so as to enhance the brightness of the space, guaranteed by the large windows. There are four cabins including a spacious owner’s suite on the main deck, with two en suite bathrooms, custom wardrobe layout and private lounge, and three large guest cabins on the lower deck. This is also where the kitchen is located, behind the crew cabin on the forward port side. The main deck has a fully functional pantry with refrigerator, dishwasher and plenty of storage.

The garage, where the jet skis are stored, also has a wet bar and becomes an integrated part of the beach club, with its 67m2 when the collapsible gunwales are down. This area can be directly accessed from the two forward VIP suites, where, the tender is also stored.

WIDERCAT 92 PROPULSION

The WiderCat 92 series hybrid propulsion system has two twin electric engines supplying 500kW each to the propellers and by two 349kW variable speed generators for electricity production. This allows for Zero Emission Mode navigation with an autonomy of 27 nautical miles at 6 knots in complete silence, or 14 hours’ autonomy when battery powered at anchor. On sunny days, the 75 m2 of solar panels located on the superstructure provide completely self-sufficient energy at anchor.

In addition to the innovative technology and masterful design – says Marcello Maggi, president of W-Fin Sarl, the company that holds 100% of Wider’s capital – this second launch demonstrates how the spacious and versatile platform of the WiderCat 92 catamaran offers owners plenty of ways to customise the style of their yacht according to their needs.” While Atali is being fitted, three other units are under construction at the Wider Vision Hub in Fano.
