The WiderCat 92 catamaran by Wider will debut on the Italian market during the Venice Boat Show, running from 29 May to 2 June. This event is a sneak preview before the world premiere during Cannes Yachting Festival in September, and is the realisation of the shipyard’s new era under the guidance of Marcello Maggi, president of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company owning 100% of Wider’s capital.

Resulting from a partnership between Luca Dini Design and the Wider Style Centre, this 28 meter fibreglass vessel is the first in a series of catamarans offering not only a harmonious fusion of beauty, functionality and technological innovation, but also a perfect integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

The vessel has two VIP cabins, a double guest cabin, the owners suite on the main deck which takes up nearly half the total space, and a garage for the tender that transforms into a vast aft beach area which, together with the collapsible bulkheads of the generously sized beach club, is an eloquent example of how managing space on board has been carefully considered and optimised so as to guarantee passengers maximum comfort. In addition, what really makes this model stand out is it serial hybrid propulsion system, the latest technology that perfectly integrates with the yacht’s unique design.

AN INNOVATIVE AND ENGAGING COCKPIT

The WiderCat 92 – explains Maggi – is a combination of Wider’s forward-thinking vision and construction skills. Today, as in the past, Wider’s approach to the boating market is ambitious with a desire to continuously surpass the limits of technological innovation.”

Working side by side with Wider in this vision of the future is Applied, an Italian company leader in technological innovation and strategic partner for industrial enterprise, who developed for the shipyard an innovative and engaging cockpit that integrates 3-D real time visuals to monitor and control on board systems. The visual impact and ease of use also extend to document management, improving overall operative efficiency on board and making post-sales service much easier.

A DEBUT WITH A SPECIAL MEANING

There is a reason behind choosing Venice for the debut of the new WiderCat 92. The city on the Lagoon has special significance for the shipyard because this is the location of the Wider Superyacht Hub, where another ambitious project is under construction, the Moonflower 72, a 72-metre superyacht built in partnership with Nauta Design. What’s more, the Marches-based shipyard is currently builder other units of the WiderCat92 in their new facility in Fano, the Wider Vision Hub, and plans to expand the range soon with new models, after having launched both the WiderCat 92 and first unit of the WiLder 60 over the past few months.

PARTNERSHIP WITH ITALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL BRANDS AT THE BOAT SHOW

During the Venice Boat Show, Wider will partner with a number of Italian and international brands, like Talenti decorators, who will decorate the company’s stand, and TooA, who will demonstrate how tradition and technology can unite by creating a “Wider” flavoured ice cream. On board the WiderCat 92, visitors can enjoy the personalised Seabob F5S in a Wider special edition, and the first electric SUP in the world, the SipaBoards Neo Silver Drive by Wider.

Lastly, in the weeks following the Boat Show, a four-episode web series will be released, made in partnership with The Creative Brothers, where those working on the design share how this innovative vessel was conceived and evolved.
