The new DOM133 by Baglietto has been launched: a transoceanic superyacht with shallow draught

2 minutes of reading

Lee, the fourth model of the DOM133 by Baglietto, is hull number 10,244 built by the La Spezia-based shipyard, and was launched only a few days ago.

Exterior and interior design are by Stefano Vafiadis (in partnership with the owner’s designer, Tehila Bracha Magyar Shelef for the interior); the vessel still has its family characteristics, with a hull made for transoceanic navigation and a minimal draught of just 2.10 metres, in order to navigate in shallow waters. In addition, its two Caterpillar C32 engines allow it to reach maximum speeds of 17 knots.

DOM133 BY BAGIETTO, UNPRECEDENTED LUXURY

Its nearly 9 meters in width (8.70 to be exact) allow it to have generously sized exterior and interior spaces, with an unprecedented layout for a vessel of this size.

The main deck is extremely open between the different areas and main saloon, with large, hinged, full height windows, connecting it directly to the aft cockpit. The unique glass staircase integrated into the deck protects a succulent garden.

Forward of the saloon is the owner’s cabin, with a collapsible balcony extending outward for 2 metres, and a luxurious bathroom, decorated with marble and mirrors. The same luxury can be seen throughout the entire DOM133 by Baglietto: Carrara marble flooring, refined wood, tropical materials and stainless steel details.  All coming from sophisticated and complex craftsmanship.

The sky lounge on the upper deck softens the formality of the community areas in the saloon, with large low windows different from previous models of the DOM133, and an outdoor dining area with a lateral mobile bar. The bookcase to the bow holds a cinema screen, in addition to a collection of books and artwork belonging to the owner. The upper deck is protected by a “cabrio” canopy, like in the automotive industry, and has a custom bar and panoramic pool with a sun bathing area.

Also to the bow, the beach club with its infinity pool, is split over two levels, an absolutely singular layout for this space.

The integrated wheelhouse, like in all DOM133s, highlights the stylised gull in the logo, enhancing it with RGB lighting, that also helps the captain avoid distracting reflections on the windows when navigating.

The lower deck is home to the passenger cabins, two doubles and a twin, as well as a VIP cabin with queen-sized bed.
