It is a beautiful sunny day on the opening of the Monaco Yacht Show, the most exclusive boating event fully dedicated to superyachts, running at Port Hercule until 28 September. Like every year, Daily Nautica is on site to share all the latest with you.

The first conference of the 2024 edition, opened by  Gaëlle Tallarida, general manager for the Monaco Yacht Show, focused on sustainability and environmental challenges. The three speakers presented to journalists and professionals some practical and concrete solutions, like decarbonising the old generation of superyachts, proposed by Jean-Marc Bolinger, CEO for MB92 Group.

Robert van Tol, executive director for Water Revolution Foundation, illustrated the 3-R model – reduce, remove, repair – highlighting how a more eco-responsible behaviour on board can improve the environmental performance of the boating industry, while also reducing operational costs.

Lastly, Giedo Loeff, head of research and development for Feadship, looked at technological innovation in the superyacht sector, demonstrating how this not only increases the value of vessels but also stimulates progress in other industries.

The Monaco Yacht Show 2024 includes the participation of over 550 exhibitors, including some of the most exclusive shipyards, like SanlorenzoHeesenAmerLusben and Feadship. This last one, in occasion of the Monaco event, celebrated 75 years by presenting Concept C, a 75 metre vessel, designed by studio De Voogt, with a 100% electric propulsion system.

Also present at the show are chartering companies and brokers, as well as exhibitors showcasing the best technology on board, like Telemar Yachting, as well as luxury accessories.
