The Aegean Explorer 26M, thanks to its large internal spaces, has 6 passenger cabins, for a total of 12 people
During the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Daily Nautica went on board the Aegean Explorer 26M, a 26-metre yacht designed and developed in house by the Turkish shipyard Aegean Yacht. The first unit of this custom line was launched in 2022. “This yacht – explains Nihan Deniz Tuzal from Aegean Yacht to DN – has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. This guarantees stable navigation and optimal handling at sea.”
AEGEAN’S INTERIORS
Its size notwithstanding, the interior spaces of this explorer are particularly generous, allowing for up to 6 cabins for passengers, including 3 master suites, for a total of 12 passengers. An alternative layout offered by the shipyard, includes a large sky lounge in place of the master cabin on the deck, reducing the vessel’s capacity to 10 passengers.
The saloon on the main deck is bright and airy thanks to the large windows on all sides. It also includes a welcoming dining area. Durmast furniture was chosen for the interior design along with parquet floors with stainless steel accents and white lacquered ceilings. The spacious galley includes a canteen for the crew, and a room leading to the lower deck, a bonus which allows the crew to move around easily and offer impeccable service.
EXTERIOR
The external spaces are as generous, with diverse areas for passenger entertainment, like the aft deck, the back of the sky lounge, the main deck and the large platform for entry into the water.
This yacht has two MAN 650 HP engines, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. with an autonomy of over 3500 nautical miles, plenty of storage and separate cabins for the 4 crew members, this explorer is the ideal vessel for long crossings.
THE SHIPYARD
Aegean Yacht was founded by Sinan Ozer in 1976. The company has two yards in Bodrum and in the free zone of Antalya, in Turkey. They specialise in completely personalised steel and aluminium yachts, as well as offering refitting, brokerage and full service luxury charter services.
