The well-known Italian shipyard, Permare has announced it is building its first Amer 70 Steel, a custom unit for a European client. Building began in March 2022 under the careful supervision of the Amerio family, with a dedicated supply chain giving geographic priority to the Ligurian and Tuscan districts, choosing highly skilled experts capable of guaranteeing the best quality. The unit will be completed in 2026.

Coming from the creative team led by Antonio Luxardo, the displacement hull has a contemporary profile, low consumption and generous spaces, with aesthetic characteristics making it truly innovative. The design was commissioned to the Ligurian studio, Optima in La Spezia, beginning a fruitful partnership, while the project manager and quality control inspector is Giulio Riva, with over thirty years’ experience in the steel industry and having worked on a number of successfully completed refits in the Sanremo shipyard.

The interior is being worked on by Luxury Projects with the eclectic Laura Pomponi designing – she is also working with Permare on another project. More details will be released in the upcoming months, for this project which represents the biggest challenge for the Sanremo shipyard.

Having reached its first 50 years in business, Permare has a large Italian and international client base, and has a strategic location in Western Liguria, near the Cote d’Azur and Monaco.

In addition to their new steel segment, the team working on composites is increasing, having been able to scale the construction of the Amer 120 and extend the entire range. Massimo VermeStefano Tini and Andrea Ramasco are a part of this historic group, and this year they are working hard in completing a number of designs for Amer Yachts, all to be delivered in 2023.
