Columbus Yachts announced the launch of the M/Y Night Fury II, the first of 3 models of the Atlantique 43m which will be delivered by summer to their respective owners. The ceremony took place in the presence of the owner and his family.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the Columbus Atlantique 43m’s interior and exterior have been designed by Hot Lab studio, and presented using a design philosophy called “Architecture for Voyagers”: a combination of style, design and functional elements dedicated to travelling by sea, fully enjoying every moment on board. The naval engineering is the result of a partnership between Palumbo Superyachts and Hydro Tec studio.
The external design is reminiscent of a shell, like a carefully carved smoothed stone, with no corners or sudden changes, only a single soft, yet aggressive shape, a natural bond between a motor yacht and a sailboat. The M/Y Night Fury II is a boat created for its owner and his family, with ample exterior spaces flowing seamlessly with the interior.
Its “sailing” stern is possible its most characteristic area. The central pool surrounded by a C-shaped seating area overlooking the stern is beautiful, and very close to water level thanks to the decision to “dig down”: indeed it is only 50cm from the water and, adding the two collapsible lateral wings, it feels like sitting directly in the water.
The lower deck has 4 double cabins, 2 VIP cabins with bathroom and 2 twin cabins. The forward lower deck is dedicated to the crew, with 4 double cabins (all with bathroom) the crew mess and laundry room. To the stern on the right gunwale is the garage which stores the 5.5,etre tender, while to the bow of the main deck is an area for a second tender (rescue boat) and two jet skis.
With 2 Cat Acert 970 kW engines, the Columbus Atlantique 43m can reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14.5.
