The mega yacht B3 has been sighted off Punta Chiappa. A super luxury vessel with a helicopter and submarine

Enjoying the sea all round. You could get on board using a helicopter and then go into the sea on the submarine, a jet ski, or any other water toy to use during your swim.
On a sunny day, with a calm seas, in Camogli, just off Punta Chiappa, we sighted the B3 mega yacht. A high-end luxury ship, with full optionals, that guarantees an exclusive cruising experience, but it is, in fact, a tender, connected to a vessel which is usually anchored at sea.
Mega yacht, tender or ship, call it what you will, it is a support vessel, 55.50 metres (185 feet) long, built by the Dutch shipbuilder Damen sold during the Monaco Yacht Show 2018 and delivered in 2019.
Among its extraordinary characteristics, is the heliport, the giant main deck for the transport of aquatic equipment, including the submarine and water toys, and a large solarium. Up to 6 guests can be hosted on board in 3 suites as well as 20 crew members, including security officers, pilots and guides.
B3’s propulsion is through four CAT 3512 motors, which generate a maximum speed of 20 knots. At 10 knots, B3 has an autonomy of 5 miles which makes it a reliable boat for long distance cruising, as well as for brief trips away from the mother ship.
It is built in steel and aluminium and the hull has the typical Sea Ax shape, patented and tested by Damen for sustained speeds and improved stability, even in rough seas. Its bow is unmistakeable, perfectly perpendicular to the sea with its protruding anchor roller.
With its internal volume of 489 GT, B3 is equipped with a 12 tonne on board crane and accessories on the stern for the launch and recovery of large and heavy equipment like submarines.
