The Monaco Yacht Show 2022 has opened in Montecarlo, and will close on 1 October. In addition to the biggest and most beautiful yachts in the world, the event includes exhibitors for services, accessories, brokers, commanders and crew.

It is probably the most exclusive boating event in the world (a day ticket costs 500 euros) and also the one where dreams come to life. The piers at Port Hercule are filled almost exclusively with pleasure boats. The smallest unit is 22 metres long.

But in addition to the large yachts, there are also tenders, services, charters, commanders, crew, accessories and equipment, as wells as brokers, the ones who keep the market going by helping boat owners’ dreams come true.

Among the 117 yachts on display, the smallest is the Bluegame BG72, which is “only” 22.72 metres long, followed by the 24 metres of the 80 Sunreef catamarans and the Advanced 80 sail boat. Speaking of sailing, this year sees the return of the Sailing Yacht Area, dedicated to large sailing yachts. The biggest super yacht is the m/y Ahpo by Lurssen, with its 115.1 metre length. This is followed by the Phoenix II by Lurssen (90.1m) and the Amels 89-metre, “here Comes the Sun”.

Among the superyachts for sale, the most expensive is the m/y Victorious by Akyachts, selling at an asking price of over 100 million euros, while the cost of a week on board for charter is 500 thousand euros. The opening day of the Monaco Yacht Show also included a visit by Prince Albert II of Monaco, who walked through the stands.

There were a number of interesting items on display in the stands, like the private submarine, the perfect water toy, and also perfect for those marinas wanting to surprise their clients by exploring with them the ocean floor in the port or nearby bays.
