It’s increasingly likely that between the 15th and 18th of August the so-called “north african” anticyclone will finally leave the positions where it is firmly perched, leaving the scene to the “atlantic” weather, when in the Mediterranean days with the Azores Anticyclone alternate to moderately disturbed days, where the humid ocean currents dominate.

A typical summer Mistral storm should break the oppressive boiling hood, only smothered by coastal breezes, and it will be replaced by greater variability, with more ventilated and stormy days alternate to sunny summer days, but with more pleasant temperatures.

It is not yet clear, on the forecast models maps, whether this transition will be completely “painless”.
