2 minutes of reading

The Bulgarian shipyard, Omaya Yachts made its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, with their new catamaran, Omaya 50, a vessel that stands out in its segment through its excellent performance and ample spaces. Daily Nautica, media partner for the event, interviewed the shipyard’s CEO, Kaloyan Radulov, to find out more.

Functionality and performance

It is a pleasure for me – explains Kaloyan Radulov to DN –  to share what we have achieved over the past two years: we can show all our clients the real benefits of catamarans, especially of ours. We are proud to announce that we have the most incredible vessel in this segment.

Its 8.4 metre width make the new Omaya 50 a very spacious vessel, as can be seen by the large saloon, the cabins, and, above all, its flybridge. In total, there are 156 square metres of living space to enjoy in this floating villa, which can welcome up to 10 passengers in addition to the crew. This comfortable experience does not, however, lessen its performance, seeing as it can reach maximum speeds of 17.6 knots.

In addition, the Omaya 50 includes the latest technology, equipped with cutting edge navigation technology and the GARMIN EmpirBus domotics system, which allows for easy management of lights, temperature, security, entertainment, and any other aspect needed for optimal navigation.

Future projects

The Omaya 50 project, started seven years ago and launched in June 2025, has very successfully debuted during the Cannes Yachting Festival With the incredible results they have achieved over these past years, the shipyard is already planning to expand their fleet with two new vessels, one of 62 feet and another of 78 feet, continuing to combine the comfort of home with the performance of an excellent motor yacht.
