The splendid Riva 88′ Folgore was launched a few days ago in La Spezia, the first model launched by the shipyard in 2020. The first vessel launch from Riva during the Coronavirus emergency, the event celebrated full operation of all shipyards belonging to the Ferretti Group.
“Riva 88′ Folgore – notes Alberto Galassi, chief executive officer of Ferretti Group – is a boat from the future. It is a blaze of style, it is strength, it is speed, it is innovation. The launch of the first new model of 2020, represents a Renaissance for Ferretti Group, which reopens from Riva, ever more a contemporary legend, the essence of Italian artistry and a tangible sign of a country that is restarting.”
The project, presented in January, stayed within planned construction times and the new design philosophy of the exterior showcases lines and elements inspired by the automotive industry that combine luxury and sportiness perfectly. A proper example of balance between the past and the present, thanks to innovative materials like carbon fibre and traditional systems like mahogany inlays and steel decorations.
In addition, with a design prospectus that unites aesthetics and functionality, the Riva 88′ Folgore has a completely redesigned stern concept, with the hold door that flips down and can be positioned in two ways: parallel to the water line, in order to enjoy a comfortable 6 m² beach club, or under it, for the launch and towage of tenders.
The 22 m² cockpit, instead, includes a large seating area with a table and portable marble with an electronic opening top. Another innovative style object is the crystal hardtop, located on the superstructure, which opens both to the bow and stern to allow fresh air to enter while sailing or while at roadstead.
Lastly, the interior, completely renovated in style and the use of luxurious materials (mahogany, steel, marble, crystal) along with a number of details, including the option of creating three different layouts for the master cabin. The night area is completed with a VIP cabin in the bow and two double cabins, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen is separate with a dedicated entrance in order to guaranty maximum privacy during serving.
