The 2020 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which will end on 1 November, is also showcasing, among others, the first boat in the new Mangusta GranSport 33 series, an interesting combination of aesthetics and performance, making its world début at the Show in Florida. This vessel is also a finalist for the “Best in Show Award”.
A success which also saw the partnership of the company, Sanguineti Chiavari, contributing to the personalisation and creation of products which have made the vessel even more unique, promoting Italian products and applying singular technological solutions.
The Ligurian company created the complete mechanism system for the stern, including a special oil-hydraulic crane, a telescopic gangway with automatic stanchions, an integrated platform movement system for the stern, and a boarding ladder within the structure, housed in the hull during navigation.
The stern platform has been created to expand the beach area. The system supplied by the shipyard integrates perfectly with the onboard spaces within the fibreglass hull. Beforehand, suppliers only included the mechanism, but now, thanks to this new prototype, the option of implementing the design and delivering the complete system simplifies assembly and the attachment interface on board.
The system is a new concept for mechanisms leading to the complete integration of the components by Sanguineti Chiavari with those of the vessel, meaning the mechanism is activated using a completely automated sequence.
The design had three fundamental objectives: being completely automated, meaning there was no need for crew intervention, being solid in all conditions, just like the fibreglass hull and, at the same time, keeping down the weight, something highly desired for this type of vessel.
Working in partnership with the technical offices in shipyards often provides the stimulus to create new concepts. The experience and professionalism of the designers in Sanguineti Chiavari and the Technical Department of Overmarine Group led to the creation of an object which can expand the living space of the beach house area when the vessel is in roads.
Sanguineti Chiavari’s company philosophy has always had the objective of modernising their historical background, while keeping an open vision for the needs of new generation yachts, offering “bespoke” products to best satisfy client needs.
