The M/Y “Zazou” was launched from the Benetti shipyard in Livorno. A splendid, full custom 65-metre unit, whose steel hull was painted an elegant Carnithia Blue colour, as expressly requested by its owner, a long-time client, who will receive the vessel during the summer season.
The explosively dynamic exterior was designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, who enhanced the streamlined profile of the yacht, while the Dutch studio, Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design designed the refined interior, part of the exterior spaces and a number of elements and furniture created specifically for this project.
The interior stands out for its elegant yet welcoming style, characterised by the soft tones and alternation of high-end materials, including: durmast, walnut, anigre, ebony, Makassar ebony, wenge, rosewood; Travertino, Statuario, Eramosa, Bardiglio, white Elba, and Sahara Noir marbles, white onyx, as well as a number of different types of leather and natural fabrics.
The Sun Deck, over 20 metres long, maximises the space, allowing the shipyard to add a gym, pantry, bathroom, mobile bar, a table for 10, a 5 metre long, 1.5 metre deep infinity pool, to the bow and a large sun lounge area to the stern, to be used for relaxation during the day or as an enchanting outdoor cinema at night.
The sky lounge on the Upper Deck integrates perfectly with the welcoming exterior spaces of the stern, furnished with custom furniture, two L-shape sofas and a table for 8. Also on the same deck is a massage room which can be converted into a double VIP cabin, the spacious and modern wheelhouse (with an integrated Furuno bridge), the ship office, the captain’s cabin and a pantry.
On the Main Deck, instead, to the stern is an open area that can be enjoyed at any time during the day, while at midship, in the interior, is the large and bright day area, made up of the dining and relaxation areas, which can also be transformed into a high-tech cinema, complete with every comfort. This deck is also home to the owner’s suite, complete with a TV lounge, double wardrobe, large bed with another TV, a large bathroom with shower and a small private balcony which can be accessed through a sliding door.
Lastly, on the Lower Deck is the large beach area, with two areas opening to the outside, one to the stern, allowing access to the beach, around 25 m² in size, with immediate access to the water, and one on the left side of the yacht, with a hatch that can be converted into a second platform over the water.
The interior of the beach club has a lounge area with coffee table, sofa and armchair and an enclosed space for storing water toys, while the night area at midship has 3 double cabins and a guest cabin which can be converted into a double thanks to the sliding beds. Also on the Lower Deck is the modern galley, and in a separate area to the bow, the cabins for the 12 crew members.
A lift connects all the decks, including the Lower and Upper decks, and the garage, to the bow of the Main Deck, housing a 7.5 metre tender, two jet skis and a rescue tender. The engine room is equipped with a pair of Caterpillar 3512C engines, allowing the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. Autonomy at 12 knots is 5 thousand miles.
