Lagoon has unveiled its renderings of the new Lagoon 51, but in order to admire and photograph it live, we will have to wait for the world première on 20 April at the International Multihull Show in La Grande-Motte, France.
The new catamaran by the shipyard, according to the designers of VPLP studio, is the perfect synthesis of modernity in its shape and sail plan with a covered living space with an unrivalled interior for a boat of this size and, like most of the Lagoon models, the interior was designed by the Italian company, Nauta Design.
THE ITALIAN DEBUT IN JULY AT CALA DEI SARDI
The first model can be seen in Italy in the summer. Lagoon has planned, like it did for the 55, a World Tour which will stop in different towns for private open days for the public. NSS Yachting by Simone Morelli, the best European dealer for 2019 and 2020, has announced the addition of the new 51 in the charter fleet based in Cala dei Sardi for next year and is preparing to welcome a stop of the World Tour in the month of July.
AN INCREASINGLY ENGAGING MARKET
The current market for cruising catamarans requires increasingly innovative solutions and aesthetically pleasing boats attracting both the demanding owner and charterer looking for comfortable and convenient boats. The new 51 is equipped with a large flybridge and uses an eco-sustainable solution – solar panels, in addition to an optional hardtop that can also be covered in solar panels.
The cockpit will have the traditional aft divan, differently from the “open water terrace” on the 55. The Lagoon sailing range now has seven catamarans, the 40, 42, 46, 51, 55, Sixty 5 and the Seventy 7, while the motor range has the Sixty 7 and Seventy 8. The French builder launched its 6000th catamaran in 2021.
