During the 65th edition of the Genova Boat Show, running from 18 to 23 September 2025, FIM (Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi) will hold an exclusive public reveal of the design for the new 560 Contessa model. With delivery planned for September 2026, this vessel is the natural evolution of FIM’s growth, blending together elegance, sportiness and innovation, creating a vision of contemporary luxury.
Visitors to the boat show will find out more details on the 560 Contessa through a scaled model, which will showcase the shape and proportions of a design that stands out for being balanced and dynamic, where the flybridge flows naturally onto the overall profile, creating refined and functional social settings. The FIM Driving Experience philosophy, developed with Designworks, an innovation studio part of the BMW Group, provides owners with an immersive and satisfying experience, while the luxury on board translates in pure comfort, high-end materials and new concept ergonomic solutions.
DESIGN AND INNOVATION
For this design, FIM worked with a number of select partners like Design aLOT for the exterio and Studio Nerocardinale for the interior. The result is a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, a contemporary interpretation of the brand’s distinctive values. Reinforcing this pioneering characteristic is the adoption of a patented emergency flotation system, the first solution in the world to ensure maximum safety for the vessel and crew in case of collision or breakdown.
“Our shipyard – note the founders of FIM, Corrado Piccinelli and Manuela Barcella – was founded on the base of a clear and sound vision: to build vessels that showcase Italian excellence throughout the world. FIM is currently growing, recognised for its designs, handcrafted quality and its skill in innovation.”
“With the 560 Contessa – note Piccinelli and Barcella – we are stepping into a new dimension, even more ambitious, and international, while still being faithful to our values. It is a design that encompasses our vision of living life at sea: a complete experience made of beauty, comfort, safety and engagement. Premiering this at the Genova Boat Show, in front of such a demanding and skilled public, is a moment of great pride for us, yet it is also an opportunity to share our passion and our enthusiasm for the future.”
WALKAROUNDS PRESENT AT THE SHOW
Alongside the design for the 560 Contessa, FIM will also be showcasing two models which have become symbols of their Regina walkaround yacht range. The first is the 440 Regina, with collapsible terraces and generous spaces, providing a unique combination of versatility and direct contact with the water. The more compact version, represented by the 340 Regina, makes no compromises in regards to luxury and performance.
The FIM experience in Genova will also be enhanced by the presence and support of partners that share the shipyard’s values. Foglizzo Leather with exclusive accessories of the Domus range, BertO with outdoor furniture from their Sounds collection, and Tracce designs bu Angelino Artworks, which presents personalised ship’s wheels transformed into unique and symbolic objects.
