After a very successful year, Lusben, the refit division of the Azimut Benetti Group, is in full flow. Through their participation in the big autumn boat shows, and the Palma International Boat Show in the spring, the brand has strengthened its international presence, and has announced some news and future plans. Daily Nautica interviewed Gianni Paladino, Commercial Director for Lusben, during the Cannes Yachting Festival, to talk about the strategic vision behind this success.
A brand in expansion
Thanks to investments, starting three years ago, in new staff and infrastructure, Lusben has continued to expand into completely new areas. In 2025 they participated for the first time in the Palma International Boat Show and the Cannes Yachting Festival. Also this year, they opened a new sales point in Antibes, in the strategic Cote d’Azure where the megayacht market is growing. These achievements represent fundamental steps in the brand’s growth.
“Participating in these two events – notes Gianni Paladino – are milestones for the company’s development and the vision we have, which has two main directives: make the brand increasingly international and closer to clients, being present in the places where the clients are. Our objective for the future is that we will no longer be viewed as simply a local presence in Viareggio and Livorno, where we will continue to grow and strengthen, but as an international presence.”
Benetti Lifetime Care
Another important program that is under way for client care is Benetti Lifetime Care, developed alongside Azimut Benetti Group. The aim of this project is to take care of Benetti yachts throughout their entire life cycle, finding advanced and personalised solutions not just for refitting, which is the heart of Lusben’s business, but also in terms of maintenance and considered management. Another of Lusben’s fundamental objectives is to maintain the yacht’s value over the years.
“Benetti Lifetime Care – explains Paladino to DN – is a more advanced approach the covers the boat’s entire life cycle and curating its value for many years after. The program includes a structured prediction strategy and periodic maintenance, with the aim of keeping the Benetii yacht in the best condition possible: this is another of our objectives for the future.”
This project is not just for the future, it is already under way: in 2025 Lusben completed the refit of the mega yacht Benetti Alfa and is currently working on the Benetti Lionheart. Work that not only focuses on the exterior and developing systems, which are traditional areas of refitting, but also on the overall design of the interior and exterior, to give the vessel a contemporary look and identity.
