The Moskito is a 55-metre motoryacht in the Steel range, built by the Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts and delivered in 2021. This superyacht embodies the essence of elegance, not only for its impeccable layout, but also because of the high-end materials used and the refined design of the interiors, curated by London-based studio, Bannenberg & Rowell.

Daily Nautica, along with first officer Kayle Newton, went on board this yacht during the latest edition of the Monaco Yacht Show. 
“I have been on board the Moskito from the beginning – Newton tells us – I’ve seen it grow and can describe in in minimum detail. This is a vessel that stands out not only for the quality of materials, but also for its performance. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, it has two MTU twin engines allowing it to sail comfortably at 13 knots and reach a maximum speed of 15 knots with an autonomy of up to 4500 nautical miles at 13 knots. It can accommodate 12 passengers in six cabins, with a crew of 13 to offer a luxurious and comfortable charter experience.”

An innovative use of glass

Naval architecture is by Van Oossanen, while exterior design is by Omega Architects. One of the Moskito’s most fascinating characteristics is the innovative use of glass, providing extraordinary natural light and breathtaking views from every corner of the ship. At the heart of the design is the master suite, an exclusive 82m2 refuge located on the main deck. In addition to this, another 10 passengers can be accommodated in five cabins, each one with private bathroom.

The extraordinarily modern and refined decor elevates the concept of luxury: the interior is enhanced by black eucalyptus and light sycamore woods, with smoked durmast parquet floors enhancing the feeling of elegance and comfort.

Another point of interest is the wellness area, accessed through the beach club, offering many opportunities for wellness and relaxation. The 100m2 sun deck, with jacuzzi, bar and dining area, is the perfect place to enjoy life on board, with plenty of space and a spectacular view. Moskito is equipped with two tenders, one of which is a 7.2m Ribeye for stylish and fast transportation.
