D-Marin, managers of 26 tourist marinas in 9 countries around the Mediterranean, is the premium platinum sponsor for the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2025, an international conference hosted at the Arsenale di Venezia until 17 October. A contribution that enhances the already full programme of presentation and round tables during the Ventian event, with a series of speeches by the management team, in support of the ICOMIA Marinas Group’s mission.
In addition to a panorama of their initiatives, centred around sustainability, customer experience, health and safety, D-Marin will share with the public emerging trends, highlighting current challenges for the industry and the future of port activities.

In Venice, Oliver Dörschuck will talk about the future of pleasure yachting, examining opportunities with a particular focus on the development of the Mediterranean region and the Persian Gulf.
Dean Smith, CCO for D-Marin, will talk moe in-depth on the topic of accrediting tourist marinas, sharing the point of view of an operator on reasons, practicality and advantages, while Christina Samoulada, Chief People Officer, will highlight future professional figures working in marina infrastructure, highlighting the importance of adaptability in order to attract and maintain a skilled, quality workforce.

Matthias Gehring, CDO for D-Marin, will discuss digitalisation, noting the modernity of management software, IoT tools (Internet of Things), and artificial intelligence, which is already used by D-Marin for its own digital platforms, in order to create “smart marinas” providing yacht owners with an excellent experience, and streamlining company performance.
Lastly, Andrea DeSantis, COO for D-Marin, with participate in a round table about risk management ( fire prevention, safety protocols, etc.) and risk reduction through the use of operative solutions and insurance cover, while Can Akaltan, D-Marin’s regional manager for Turkey, will take part in a meeting focusing on highly inspiring, cutting edge projects.
