The first edition of the Bodrum Boat Show has officially begun and will run until 19 October in the heart of the Turkish city, one of the most iconic destinations in the Mediterranean. A debut which is a turning point for the Turkish boating industry and that Daily Nautica is following as official media partner, sharing in person the photos and videos of this historic event filled with boats, innovation, and international names.
With over 200 vessels and over 500 brands participating, the Turkish show has opened its doors, attracting an international public of enthusiasts and industry professionals. A lively and dynamic atmosphere, in an enchanting setting like Bodrum.
Döndü Karabiyik: “A project that will grow year after year”
During our time at the Bodrum Boat Show we interviewed Döndü Karabiyik, International Sales Director for ED Fair Organization, the company organising the event. Her satisfaction was clear from her first words: “We have just opened our first Bodrum Boat Show – shares Karabiyik with DN – and it is going really well. There are many people, visitors, buyers and professionals, all waiting in line to enter. We are very excited.”
The International Sales Director for ED Fair Organization noted how the exhibitors were enthusiastic about the initiative, which includes a large number of industry businesses. “The exhibitors – explains Karabiyik – so far, are very pleased with the results, everything is going really well.”
A boat show that has great ambitions and aims to become a regular event in the international boating calendar. “We are thinking of hosting this event every years – notes Karabiyik – because Bodrum is an excellent yachting destination as it is such a tourist area.”

In this international and innovative context, Italian boating is playing an important role. Participating in the Bodrum Boat Show pare some of the most representative names in the country, like Riva, Italia Yachts, Gianneschi, Frigomar, B Light and Scanner Marine.
