The 64th iteration of the Genoa Boat Show is upon us. The biggest Italian pleasure boat show, running from Thursday 19 to Tuesday 24 September, will showcase its complete restyle by architect, Renzo Piano. One-thousand-fifty-two brands are exhibiting and 1,030 vessels are on display, including over 100 new products and 30 premieres. The new layout offers a unique and immersive visit with its open plan space.
The exhibition space, on water and land, is 220 thousand square metres, 5 thousand more than in 2023 with 85% of the spaces outdoors. Also the number of foreign exhibitors has increased, with 23 new exhibitors in shipyards alone. Even the sale on online tickets showed a 16% increase compared to 2023.
CONFERENCES AND GUESTS
Once again, this year’s Genoa Boat Show is hosting a number of meetings and conferences to further discuss some of the main industry topics with international stakeholders and experts. On Thursday 19 September, the 64th edition of the Show will kick off with the conference, “Politiche del Mare New plans for Italy’s competitiveness, and the prospects of the boating industry”, a fundamental meeting to lay out the industry’s future strategy; participants include the vice-president and minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, the minister for Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, and the minister for Maritime Policy, Nello Musumeci.
EXHIBITORS
Awaiting aficionados and pleasure boaters will be over a thousand exhibitors coming from around the world. Of particular note is the presence of Sanlorenzo, with 9 models, including two new Business Unit Yachts: SL86A for the Assimetrica range and the SP92 for the Smart Performance range. Azimut have also chosen Genoa to present their new Fly 62, revolutionising the concept of the flybridge. Also present in the motoryacht sector are: Ferretti, Absolute Yachts, De Antonio Yachts, Frauscher, exhibiting the 1017 GT and the cabined version of the 1212 Ghost Air, as well as Dutch shipyard Fjord, represented by Italian dealer, Mr Blu, presenting the world premiere of the Fjord 39 XL alongside the well-known Fjord 41 XL. There will also be a number of companies specialising in boating products and accessories, like NavalTecnoSud, Garmin, Raymarine and CMC Marine.
