With over 600 exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors, CIBS has cemented itself as a key event for the entire Asian boating industry
The 28th iteration of the China International Boat Show was a huge success; it ran from 30 March to 2 April at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The results went beyond expectations: with over 600 exhibitors from around the world, 7 national pavilions and over 40,000 visitors, the CIBS has cemented itself as a key event for the entire Asian boating industry.
The size of the event was significant, with 45,000 square metres entirely dedicated to vessls, accessories, technology and solutions for pleasure yachting: from fly motoryachts to sailing yachts, day cruisers, fishermen, dinghies and RIBs, the variety on display satisfied both professionals and public.
Like every year, large international companies were also present, including Beneteau, Jeanneau, Azimut, Sunseeker, and Sea Ray. A collection of authoritative brands that conferred further prestige to the event, highlighting its relevance at a global level.
Innovation and sustainability at CIBS 2025
This year, the centre of attention was technology innovation and sustainability, with the latest in solutions for electric propulsion and intelligent navigational systems. The Fuber Global 6.0 attracted a lot of interest, a high efficiency electric 6 kW outboard engine. Created for fishing boats, with international certification such as RoHS, CCS, CE and FCC, it is the perfect union between innovation and sustainability.
Green is indeed the standard for the maritime industry of today and tomorrow. The course charted and the China International Boat Show 2025 strongly confirmed this: sustainability, efficiency and innovation are not simple trends but solid fundamentals for a new way of sailing. A clear message that looks to the future and includes the entire boating industry.
Over 150 side events
Alongside the main event, CIBS 2025 included over 150 side events including forums, workshops, and live demonstrations. Important opportunities to connect, network and find new business opportunities, while keeping in step with the latest on the market.
The oldest boat show in China
The China International Boat Show, established in 1996, celebrated 28 years by sharing with other important events in lifestyle and hobbies, like the International WorkBoat Show Shanghai, Expo Lifestyle and Shanghai International Expo Leisure. This also included the Asian Marine & Boating Awards (AMBA), awarding the best in boating design and innovation in Asia, with over 500 brands from 20 different countries.
A platinum member of the IFBSO (International Federation of Boat Show organisers), the China International Boat Show is now the oldest boat show in China and one of the most complete. A meeting place for the entire sector: shipyards, accessories, services and water sports. A consolidated platform that continues to support and promote the development of boating in Asia.
The next China International Boat Show is already scheduled: in 2026 the show will return to Shanghai with an even more rich, international and not to be missed edition.
