During his official visit to the 34th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, Prince Albert II of Monaco received a donation of 54,000 euros for his Foundation, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. The contribution was presented by Gaëlle Tallarida, general director for the MYS, and by Lord Stephen Carter, CEO of Informa Group, in the presence of Olivier Wenden, vice-president and CEO of the Foundation, who expressed his gratitude for the yearly support which began in 2010.

ENVIRONMENTAL MISSION

The Monaco Yacht Show is once again reconfirming its work with the Prince Albert II Foundation, with particular attention for the Ice Memory project, which aims to preserve ice core samples taken from glaciers and the ice caps, used to study environmental changes in the past.

The ceremony took place on the 35.9m catamaran, Reduce, built by Silver Yachts in 2024, and winner of the Special Jury’s Award at the Blue Wake Awards for its eco-friendly technology solutions. The Prince also visited the new sailing yacht, Maximus, 59.29m long and launched by Vitters in 2024, also a finalist in the awards at the show.

A TOUR OF INNOVATION AND SEAFARING CULTURE

With the donation ceremony, the Prince’s visit to the show came to a close. During his visit he spoke to exhibitors and professionals in the Upper Deck Lounge, an area dedicated to luxury and innovation on board.

His Highness also stopped to enjoy the photography exhibit, Tribute to Yachting, curated by the Monaco Yacht Show, by photographer Guillaume Plisson, an artistic voyage paying tribute to the sea, celebrating the aesthetics of boating through evocative imagery.
