During the 2025 edition of the Genova International Boat Show, Volvo Penta celebrated the 86th birthday of Amer Yachts founder, Fernando Amerio, as well as their significant partnership which connects them to the San Remo-based company through a special tribute: the famous IPS 10 engine.
“In occasion of Mr Amerio’s very special birthday – Nicola Pomi, vice-president of Volvo Penta Marine Sales, explains to Daily Nautica – we have organised a symbolic tribute, to express our gratitude and recognition for our long lasting relationship based on tryst, innovation and a shared vision, with a special tribute: our IPS 10 which represents for Volvo Penta and our partner Amer Yachts a real change for the yachting industry. A tangible example of our shared innovative vision which contributed to redefining the concept of the yacht itself, guiding the industry towards sustainability and safety.”
The IPS 10 is on display over the net few days of the Genova International Boat Show just outside the Amer Yachts stand. An initiative which was also welcomed enthusiastically by Confindustria Nautica and event organisers. As can be seen in the cover image, Nicola Pomi and Cristina Fagioli from Volvo Penta, Fernando Amerio, his daughter Barbara, CEO of Amer Yachts and Andrea Razeto, vice-president of Confindustria Nautica, were all present.
