The Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona has launched a new unit of the Custom Line Navetta 38, the second one in less than a year, proving the success that this magnificent made-to-measure yacht is having after premiering in May. The launch was a very exciting moment, not just for the shipyard but also for the yacht owners, who come from the Middle East, and excitedly participated in the ceremony to celebrate the completion of their project.
With a length of 38.76 metres, a beam of 8 metres and a gross tonnage of 299GT, this vessel is the result of a partnership between the Strategic Product Department and the Engineering Department of Ferretti Group. The exterior design is by architect, Filippo Salvetti, while the interior design is by architecture firm, ACPV ARCHITECTS’ Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. Alongside the ship’s management team, Custom Line Atelier played a strategic role in building the hull, embodying the owner’s style desires and accompanying him through to delivery.
The meticulous attention to detail is what has attracted customers to the Custom Line Navetta 38, alongside a combination of aesthetics, liveability and direct contact with the water. The harmony of style is elegant, deriving from the use and combination of natural durmast, which covers the walls, floors and details like deckheads, providing soft, even light, through to the covering of the rounded doors, where the wood is perfect in its candid naturalness.
These sinuous design elements were also taken up in some freestanding elements, like sofas or tables, most of which are round. By the owner’s specific request, both the interior saloon and outdoor spaces, which are connected, have been furnished with large custom designed sofas and chairs, coffee tables and lamps, which reflect the owner’s desire to fully enjoy the spaces and share special moments with friends and family at all times of the day. The appreciation for these spaces for socialising is perfectly expressed in the layout of this second Custom Line navetta 38 hull, which includes an owner’s suite on the main deck and 4 double cabins on the lower deck, providing space and comfort for all passengers on board.
The exterior design stands out for its timeless classic design: simple harmonious lines and refined luxury. Here, the customisation wanted by the owner determined the choice of using a completely white body, a solution which enhances the purity and elegance of its shape even more. The common thread of the hull id a neutral palette with tones of beige and white, enhanced by contrasting smoky grey and black. Black, which was added by owner request, adds depth and character to the space: it is used on the deckheads on the bridge, in the mirrored doors of some of the wardrobes, the lacquered surfaces of freestanding elements in the saloon and in the details of the outlets and loudspeakers.
Completing the harmonious feel of natural finishes are teak and leather, which add warmth and authenticity to the space. In textiles, a touch of rare elegance is given by the grey and ivory wallpaper by Phillipe Jeffries. The coverings are mostly in marble, like Essential Grey and Cream marbles in the bathrooms, creating a refined atmosphere.
