Baglietto have launched “Speedy Bear”, a custom 44 metre planing vessel built for a client who is passionate about yachts built by the La Spezia-based shipyard. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, who also curated the interior in partnership with Margherita Casprini, the boat follows the classic design from the company’s fast aluminium range, but created following the latest modern style which differentiates the Fast series.

Innovation within tradition

In particular, the vertical stern is reminiscent of successful designs from the past like Monokini ir Pachamama, but with a twist: here the collapsible hold door creates a comfortable beach platform with lounge area. The innovative style of the hard top gives the yacht a contemporary character and provides a shady area on the flybridge. On the aft main deck the lowered superstructure leaves space for a sofa with dining area and a pool, while two collapsible terraces open to the outside to connect better with the water.

The yacht has 2 MTU 12V4000 M93 L motors allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 . “Innovation within tradition, that is how we can summarise the essence of this new yacht – notes Fabio Ermetto CCO for Baglietto – a custom design with a classic twist that still has plenty of innovation.
