The Benetti shipyard in Livorno has delivered the M/Y Iryna, the first unit of the B.Now 67M with Oasis Deck. This superyacht, built in less than three years, demonstrates Benetti’s skill in creating custom designs: starting with a platform to be used for other models of the same family, the Italian shipyard, together with Arcon yachts, who represented the owner, created the perfect tailor-made superyacht. In addition, because of its importance in the range, it has been officially recognised by Lloyd’s Register.
Many custom elements
The M/Y Iryna stands out for its many custom elements, starting with the colour of the hull and superstructure, personalised using three different greys mixed exclusively for this unit. Ample curved windows cover 70% of the overall vertical surface of the vessel, allowing natural light to flood the interior, which was curated by Benetti’s Interior Design Department.
The layout has been significantly modified from the original design, in particular with many areas for wellness, including a sauna on the beach club and a gym on the main deck, both built to the client’s specifications. Some of the spaces were fully designed in-house by the shipyard, like the guest cabin on the lower deck, which is an important element in the design of this yacht.
A lot of care was taken in the details, including the special pleated leather made exclusively for this vessel, the colours chosen for the textiles are inspired by the four seasons and the decor is by Visionnaire, a brand loved by the owner for their artistry and quality of materials, in perfect harmony with Benetti’s mission to offer a unique aesthetic and sensory experience.
The ceilings are covered in a new generation leather, tanned using natural elements, in line with the owner’s desire for environmentally friendly choices, and which can also be seen in his choice to replace marble surfaces for ceramic with a marble effect. In regard to the woodwork, special attention was paid to environmental certification including FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), which guarantees responsible forest management, working on biodiversity and the well-being of local communities.
Other details
The exterior of the M/Y Iryna was designed by British studio, RWD, with whom Benetti has been successfully partnering for the entire B.Now line. The vessel has 6 decks, from the topmost observation deck to the under lower deck, providing ample space both inside – with a 65 square metre main saloon and a full beam owner’s apartment on the upper deck, created by moving the wheelhouse and captain’s cabin – and outside, with around 500 square metres of usable surface, including the Oasis Deck, which provides an exclusive space for socialising in close contact with nature.
