On Thursday 14 November, Benetti Yachts launched, from their shipyard in Viareggio, the M/Y Juno’s 7, the first unit in the Class 44M series. Designed by Cassetta Yacht Designers, Juno’s 7 stands out for its informal and natural spaces, spread over four decks, reminiscent of the brand’s heritage.
At the launch ceremony, the American owner and his family were present, along with the Benetti staff and various members of the press. Daily Nautica also took part in the event, and took the opportunity to interview Giorgio Maria Cassetta, architect of the design, and Daniela Petrozzi, Sales Director for the group, appointed in June.
“We have here a yacht with an essential design – explains Giorgio Maria Cassetta to DN – built in fibreglass and designed with spaces filled with simple beauty, with timeless details, far from excess or sophistication. For this vessel we chose high quality materials, like concrete epoxy resin, special wood like aged elm and stone powders. Surfaces, colours and textures use a natural colour palette. All of this make the yacht comfortable, even to the eye.”
The Class range offers a harmonious design, that seamlessly brings together internal and external characteristics. “Our vision for the Class range – says Daniela Petrozzi to DN – is based on one of our classic and greatly successful products, the Benetti Vision, which we call the ‘grandmother’ of this range, as, for years, it was one of our most beloved models. The Class 44, which we have just presented, perfectly unites the popular elegant design with contemporary trends, while also offering unrivalled comfort thanks to its generous and carefully designed interior spaces.”
Four decks and six cabins
The yacht is divided into four decks. On the main deck is the owner’s suite, kitchen, services and a large saloon with an ocean view. The sun deck, with its 102m2 surface area, is the perfect place for relaxing outdoors, while the lower deck has four guest cabins and the crew area.
Lastly, the upper deck has the bridge, a spacious internal living area that extends aft with an outdoor area, and a sixth VIP cabin, which is a distinctive trait for this yacht, compared to others of the same size designed by the shipyard. The yacht also has a beach club, right on the waterline, while the garage, located along the left gunwale, best utilised the available space without compromising aesthetics.
The amount of soundproofing on the Juno’s 7 places it in the top of its category, thanks to the use of floating floors, soundproofed bulkheads and rubber couplings in the transmission, using the latest advanced technology. The air conditioning and filtration system guarantees continued and highly efficient air exchange, with six complete cycles per hour.
Equipped with two MAN 1400Hp engines, the M/Y Juno’s 7 can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, with an autonomy of 4100 nautical miles at 11 knots cruising speed.
