Overmarine Group have announced the sale of the first unit of the Mangusta Oceano 52, the new flagship for the steel and aluminium displacement vessels, introducing a new concept for space utilization in the under 500GT superyacht segment. Resulting from a partnership between the engineering department of the Group and the designer Alberto Mancini, this design is the natural evolution of the previous Mangusta Oceano 39 and Mangusta Oceano 44 models.
Over 52 metres, the Mangusta Oceano 52 provides exceptional volume and space for vessels of this segment, while maintaining the distinctive identity of the brand, with essential lines,, continuous connection to the water and a surprising harmony between interior and exterior. On board, it feels like being on a yacht of 60 metres, where the in & out living concept is fully expressed.
“The Mangusta Oceano 52 – explains Stefano Arlunno, president of Mangusta Americas, who closely followed the design development from the beginning – represents a decisive step forward in the evolution of our range. It is a model that will become a benchmark in the under 500 GT segment, introducing style and function solutions that redefine the onboard experience. The A Deck Above the Rest concept perfectly expresses our vision: providing owners with an unrivalled experience, where design, functionality and emotion combine to raise the lifestyle to a level that has never been seen before on equivalent sized vessels.”
The first model of the Mangusta Oceano 52 has been acquired by a very experienced South American owner, who already owns other vessels, and who chose this model for the ideal balance between comfort, privacy and style. Capturing his attention was, in particular, the owner’s suite located on the forward upper deck: a private area suspended above the sea, with full-height windows and a 180° view opening out onto a private terrace with a “Mangusta Signature” infinity pool. The patio lounge on the main deck, configured to be a fitness area, instead contributes to creating a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation with and open plan between indoors and out.

The Mangusta Oceano 52 stands out for its extraordinary modularity: a flexible design platform created to provide spaces to enjoy and personalise according to need. Each unit could be considered a one-off. In this case, the owner chose one of the 12 configurations put forward by the shipyard, with 2 VIP cabins (one for office use) on the main deck and 4 guest cabins on the lower deck.
Though the client initially wanted a personalised solution, he then saw in Mangusta the most effective combination of aesthetics and functionality, perfectly in line with his vision for the project. The sale was completed in partnership with the brokerage house, Maspor Marine International, in the person of Jorge Saca, and delivery is scheduled for spring 2027.
