Maybe “find” isn’t the right word when talking about a super yacht the size of the Flying Fox: with its 136 metres in length and 32 metres of height, it has garnered the title of biggest charter yacht in the world.

The 7,000 square metres of curved exterior were designed by the famous designer and naval architect Espen Øino, together with  Mark Berryman and was executed by Lürssen. This yacht was thought up and created with two objectives: fun and relaxation.

A 12 metre pool at the stern with a radius of 22.5 metres, a gym, an entire kite surfing department and a professional diving centre, equipped for even those who have never done any diving before, with a decompression chamber inside the on-board hospital, and with the option of training in the pool. The fun continues in the garage, where there are flyboards, hover boards, seabobs, windsurf equipment, and there is even room for a submarine.

And naturally, a gym, a balcony for outdoor yoga and personalised programs taught by certified trainers. That’s right, because many of the 54 crew members of Flying Fox have dual training with skills in wellness and water sports: the doctor, for example, is a diving instructor and some of the attendants are also hairdressers.

And after all these activities it is time to relax. The Flying Fox is equipped with a 400 square metre spa with a thermal pool, offering guests the choice between fresh and salt water and temperatures ranging from steamy hot to icy. The floors are in limestone, the panels in durmast oak, the beauty centre is just outside the bridge to the stern and has two massage rooms, one dry and one humid.

The décor has been planned to create a feeling of calm and serenity: a contemporary style with Japanese influences and finishings in light oak, caramel coloured bamboo, travertine marble and cream coloured leather. In the main room there are two ficus trees and a number of plants that are well-maintained thanks to the irrigation and illumination systems, designed to give just the right amount of UV and to guarantee that the material and surfaces do not discolour.

In these days, the Flying Fox is in Tivat in the marina of Porto Montenegro and for anyone willing to invest €3,500,000   per week on board, can easily reach it by helicopter.
