When talking about a luxury yacht, it is often the case that there is the experience and quality of an Italian shipyard involved. And this is true for the motoryacht, “Lucy”, built by The Italian Sea Group, a beacon for the design and construction of vessels up to and over 100 metres, in their Tecnomar shipyard based in Carrara.

This 37 metre yacht, delivered in 2022, encompasses all the best characteristics of an Italian-made yacht: ample exterior space, a fast and high performance hull and careful selection of high quality materials. Daily Nautica went on board during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, together with Carmen Lou Stratton, Senior Advisor for Camper & Nicholsons, global operator for luxury yachting.

INFINITE SPACE IN A 30 METRE YACHT

Lucy combines excellent performance with comfort. Its generous 8 metre beam, allows for ample space both to the bow and stern. Even the lateral corridors can be navigated easily and safely thanks to the fairly high gunwale. Going onto the sundeck, there is even more comfort and convenience: there is a large sun lounge, dining table and, last but not least, a splendid jacuzzi with panoramic view.

INTERIORS WITH MARBLE DETAILS

The main deck has a pleasant relaxation and dining area. The marble details, which can be found throughout the interior, were designed by Nuovi Cantieri Apuania, and give an extra touch of class. The dining room includes a marble table and large kitchen with stove, sink and three wine fridges.

Continuing along the deck we come to the accommodation. Lucy was designed to comfortably accommodate up to 9 passengers in 4 cabins, including the owner and VIP suites. Marble is found in every room, on the flooring and surfaces in the bathroom. There is also space for a small sauna, with massage parlour and shower.

ENGINES

With an aluminium hull and superstructure, Lucy benefits from a semi-displacement hull, providing her with exceptional seaworthiness. It has two diesel MTU 12 cylinder engines with 2600 HP, to navigate comfortably at 14 knots and reach a maximum speed of 20 knots, with autonomy of up to 1,600 nautical miles.
