In the panorama of luxury superyachts, few can compete with the majesty and elegance of the 90-metre superyacht, Dar, which we spotted in the Tigullio Gulf, off the coast of Portofino. Built by Dutch shipyard, Oceanco, in 2019, this motor superyacht is a masterpiece of design and engineering, created to offer a luxury charter experience.
Dar’s interior design is by Italian studio, Nuvolari Lenard, who created a sophisticated and welcoming environment for passengers. The interior is large and bright, furnished using high quality materials and curated in every detail. The elegant and modern design of the Dar reflect Oceanco’s skill in creating custom yachts, made to satisfy even the most exacting clients.
The Dar, which we spotted just off the coast of Portofino, can accommodate up to 12 people in 7 luxury suites, including a master suite, two VIP cabins and four double cabins. There are 30 crew members on board, selected to offer impeccable service.
For evening entertainment there is a high-end cinema for relaxing with a movie. For those seeking ultimate relaxation, there is a beauty salon and a spa, perfect for relaxing treatments and massages. The sauna and jacuzzi on deck offer yet another opportunity for relaxation, while the pool is perfect for a refreshing swim or to enjoy the sunset.
Sports enthusiasts can keep in shape in the well-equipped gym, while anyone desiring a more dynamic experience can enjoy the beach club or explore the surrounding water with a vast range of water toys, including jet skis, seabobs, wakeboards and much more.
Dar was built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, materials that guarantee sturdiness and lightness. It has two MTU engines to navigate comfortably at 13 knots and reach a maximum speed of 20 knots, with autonomy of up 4,500 miles. In addition, it has stabilizers at ancor, ensuring exceptional comfort even in rough seas.
During the summer, Dar is available for cruises in the Mediterranean, offering passengers the opportunity to explore some of the most exclusive destinations. For those who enjoy warmer climates, Dar spends the winter season in the Caribbean, guaranteeing a superior charter experience anywhere in the world. The cost for a holiday on board is 1,200,000 euros a week, plus expenses.
We already spotted the Dar in Genova in October 2020.
