The new brand of the Group from La Spezia presents a modular hull which can be adapted to create three different super yachts
The new brand, Antonini Navi, dedicated to luxury super yachts from the Group based in La Spezia presented a modular platform that allows buyers to choose the type and concept of their vessel, even when the construction process has begun. Based on innovation and flexibility, the principle of this Utility Platform 40-UP40 adapts methods which up until now have prevalently been used for smaller resin hulls for use with steel.
“The owner – explains Aldo Manna, partner and sales manager for Antonini Navi – can personalise their super yacht even when construction has already begun, not just for the interiors, but also, and above all, in its functional type. Maximum flexibility in choice, with reduced delivery times, as the design and construction phases of the hull can be carried forward quite independently. It is a complex choice, that requires indisputable skill from the technical office, a close partnership with a designer of exceptional experience and great talent but also of important investments in research and designs”.
The hull bears the signature of the architect from La Spezia, Fulvio De Simoni, in close partnership with the technical team of the shipyard: a hull with a high level of reliability, robustness and hold, which encloses comfortable living space. The water lines have been studied for maximum efficiency, so that the hull guarantees safe navigation, with reduced consumption.
Among the different types of superstructure: motoryacht elegant, crossover marine and essential, sport explorer solid and multifunctional. The design stands out for its harmony, developed over two linear decks, with no interruptions, connected by a half-deck, dedicated to the wheelhouse. The free-flowing, soft edges are ample, while the cut of the bow showcases a contemporary style. The stern is the most flexible part of the project, studied to enhance the characteristics of each different concept.
Extreme personalisation is also possible for the interior, so as to customise the unit in the number of cabins, size of the rooms and aesthetic details, based on specific requirements. With the autonomy of a “Grand cruiser”, made possible by the presence of large fuel tanks, the vessel can navigate for 5 thousand miles at the speed of 10 knots, with a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots.
The design of the first example of Utility Platform 40 – UP40 is in the finishing phases, while construction will begin in September this year. The process will have its strong point in the significant reduction of construction times. Thanks to the possibility of starting with naval architecture, engineering and construction, while waiting for the eventual concept choice, the delivery times of these 40-metre hulls can be halved. Only 12 months from choosing the type of vessel to its delivery.
