The Spanish shipyard Magonis, specialised exclusively in electric boats, will be present at the Boot Düsseldorf 2023 with two electric Wave e-500 units.

WAVE E-500, ELECTRIC DAYCRUISER

Both with 30 kW electric propulsion, pushing them to 22 knots – presented to the public in colours of titanium silver and white – the new Magonis daycruisers stand out for equipment equivalent to that of traditional motoryachts. Like for example a dolphin striker, swim ladder with large steps, bridge and teak-covered deck as well as a steel-mounted windscreen. There are also many optionals including refrigerator, anti-theft system, and 8 square meter parasol with carbon fibre supports.

The layout on board allows for extremely flexible functions, as can be seen by the organisation of the bow, where the dinette quickly transforms into a sun lounge.

MARGONIS AND SUSTAINABILITY

In addition to the Wave e-500 units, Magonis will be bringing two new sustainable accessories to Düsseldorf. This is the MAGbuoy, a buoy for electrical charging, and a solar awning.

The first, created in order to promote electric navigation, is compatible with all types of electric vessels. Equipped with a battery, it receives energy through an underwater cable connected to the marina’s or city’s distribution network, and works just like a car charging station. A design, explains  François Lozic, CEO of Magonis, that is “a sign of faith and hopes to push owners to move away from traditional motors to electric ones.

The same idea is behind the solar awnings created by the Barcelona-based shipyard for the Wave e-500 units. A solution that can be folded and rolled away and that thanks to its photovoltaic elements, it can recharge up to 1kW, anywhere.
